A mounting is the metal structure that holds a diamond or gemstone in a piece of jewelry. It forms the base of a ring, earring, pendant, bracelet, or necklace, and determines both the style and the security of the stone.
For jewelry professionals, a mounting is the starting point of any finished piece. It allows you to set stones according to your own quality standards, and to offer your customers more choice in design, size, and personalization.
Our mountings are available in 14K and 18K gold (yellow, white, or rose) and in a wide range of styles. At Antwerp Mounts, we produce all mountings locally, ensuring consistent quality, precision, and a clean finish.
Why Mountings Matter
A good mounting is essential for the durability and appearance of jewelry. It:
- Holds and protects the stone
- Defines the style of the finished piece
- Determines how light enters the diamond
- Ensures comfort and wearability
- Allows customization and flexibility for jewelers

How Mountings Are Made
Our mountings are produced locally and follow a controlled, step-by-step process. This allows us to keep a consistent quality standard and ensure each piece is ready for professional use.
1. CAD Design and 3D Modeling
Each mounting starts with a CAD model that determines the exact measurements, stone positions, and proportions.
2. Resin or Wax Printing
The design is printed in resin or wax to create a precise model that can be used for casting.
3. Casting in 14K or 18K Gold
Using the lost-wax method, the model is cast in yellow, white, or rose gold. Local production ensures clean casting and stable quality.
4. Polishing and Finishing
After casting, each piece is cleaned, filed, and polished to give it a smooth and refined finish.
5. Optional Stone Setting
If desired, we can also take care of stone setting. Our setters work with all common shapes and sizes, including pavé, prong, bezel, and channel settings.
